Proportions and Ratios - Fractions -
Use these games, videos and activities to help you understand the Proportional and Ratio / Fraction concepts we will be covering in class this term. Fractions are very closely related to division. This is because the denominator (the bottom number) in the fraction tells us how many pieces to share a shape, set or collection into. We have to share the shape, set or collection evenly (just like when we divide a number by another number)!
